Month of Thanksgiving

Day Six: For Music.
I have been in the choir loft since nine months before I was born. Music is in my DNA. My mother was a voice teacher, and I grew up learning to read music about the same time I learned to read English.
There is no feeling on Earth like that of joining your voice with others in song. Whether it is a duet, a barbershop quartet, a madrigal dectet, a 30 member choir or a 5,000 voice convention hall at General Assembly. If heaven looks like Bethany Hills, then the sound of heaven is the joy of singing.

To be born Welsh
is to be born privileged
not with a silver spoon in your mouth,
but music in your blood
and poetry in your soul.
